This week I took pictures of some rocks I found at the beach and my valentines day flowers! (Happy Valentine's day everyone) I was a little disappointed in the quality of the photos up close but unfortunately I have to use my phone at the moment since my camera is broken so I did my best with trying to focus in. I hope everyone has a great week.

  1. Two things are going on here which reduce the quality.... Removing the rocks from their natural environment and bringing them indoors removes textural and light contrasts that were present at the place you originally found them...

Secondly, artificial light is difficult at best and for new photographers, working with natural light generally works out much better.

That said, you have a couple of very good ones... the plant, 2nd from the bottom has excellent composition, good light and nice contrasting detail. The close up of the conch shell is lively and nicely lit. The roses would improve with better light and contrast....
