These are some amazing pictures that I wish i could've taken if i either had the pleasure of going to (like the grand canyon, Hawaii and i cant swim) and i love the scenery of New York at night. that staircase was just pure art to me
I'm glad you pointed out how the staircase is pure art to you. The idea for this assignment was to be able to pick out strong composition in the midst of the chaos that is an overall view of an entire city. When we choose already composed images then we are acknowledging what another artist has already decided compositionally. Nevertheless the point of this assignment was to reinforce your understanding of composition and how central it is to all good photography.
